Serving our customers

They tell how the Filassistance teams helped them

01

Ghislaine, 76 years old

Ghislaine contacted us when her husband showed signs of fatigue.

“When I noticed that my husband was having trouble making simple everyday things, I was distraught. I did not know what help we could get. Filassistance advised me on the steps to be taken to recognize the loss of autonomy of my husband, and we were able to use an occupational therapist to adapt our home. “

02

Anne-Sophie, 45 years old

The father of Anne-Sophie, Jacques, 78, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
She is worried because he hardly eats anymore, and has already lost a few pounds. When she tells him about his weight loss, he eludes and responds that he eats. She does not know what attitude to adopt towards him. She contacts Filassistance for advice; an assistance coordinator directs his call to the doctor of the call center.
The doctor informs Anne-Sophie about the disease, and then sends her practical sheets on the behaviors to have with the people who are affected.

“I did not know how to communicate with my father anymore. The advice of the Filassistance team helped me to better understand and deal with his illness. “

03

Philippe, 55 years old

Philippe is worried because he works abroad, and notices that his mother, Jacqueline, who lives in France, is less and less autonomous. He contacts Filassistance, who puts him in touch with a Social Assistant. It provides information on the possible legal aid in case of loss of autonomy (APA, CESU, pension fund, mutual insurance, etc.). Philippe organizes for his mother a phone appointment with the social worker. Following this interview, the Social Assistant diagnosed a loss of autonomy allowing the constitution of an APA (Personalized Autonomy Allowance) file. For example, Jacqueline can benefit from additional cleaning hours, financial assistance from her pension fund for the installation of a shower and the reorganization of her home, thanks to the intervention of an occupational therapist.

“As an expatriate, I rarely have the opportunity to be with my mother. Thanks to the advice of Filassistance, I was able to help her even though I live far away from her.

04

Laetitia, 39 years old

Maxime, 15, fell during a skateboard session. As a result, he wore plaster casts on his 2 legs and arm for 1 month. His mother, Laetitia, solicited Filassistance.

Laetitia : “I was very worried that Maxime could not go to class anymore and misses his school year; Year 11 is a defining year! Filassistance brought a teacher to our home so that my son could continue to study during his whole period of immobilization, and that helped us out greatly. “
